The Principality of Seborga
This report takes us to Liguria, to the small village of Seborga, or should we say, the principality of Seborga. Until 1993, it was a quiet idyllic spot. But then the villagers rediscovered their historical roots, proclaimed the Principality and elected the florist Giorgio Carbone to become Prince Giorgio I. Minet went onsite, to investigate whether this was a clever move by some people in the tourism industry, or whether there is indeed a historical backing to these claims.
