The far north of Finland is home to the Finnish Sámi people, an indigenous group. Their territory covers the northern areas of Scandinavia and extends into the Russian Kola Peninsula. Their culture and traditions are deeply connected to nature and the landscapes they inhabit.

Teija Tamminen, a Sámi woman, has returned to her ancestors' lands after living in the city. Now she resides in Nellim, where she runs a village café and enjoys hunting and fishing. Christine Helfer and Agostino Fuscaldo had the opportunity to pay her a visit.
